The teacher forbids students from praying inside the campus
Video of students of a school in England went
viral as they were praying outside the school beneath the open sky in hard cold
weather. Upon this, the management apologized for such inhuman conduct of their
staff.
According to
the International reports, the students belong to an institution called the Oldham
Academy North located in Roy ton area of Oldham, Manchester City, England. In
the video, 8 students wearing the school uniform can be seen praying in open-air outer the institute. The schoolboys reported afterward that there is a
separate prayer room available in the school where all the Muslim students
offer their prayers.
One of these
students reported that one of their teachers told them not to pray inside the
prayer room as they were to pray their “Friday Prayer” and instead instructed
them to go outdoor for their prayers. As the video went viral on social media,
the school management is being criticized by social media personalities upon
which, the school management responded and apologized to the parents of the
students and assured them that the incident is being investigated.
The School
management further added that the students had previously attempted to damage
the prayer room, which can be the reason the teacher prevented them from
saying their prayers inside the prayer room.
Conclusion:
A sad
incident in a foreign school where students were absolutely mistreated. A staff
member (teacher) forbidding the students from praying inside the prayer room is
not justified at all. They were just fulfilling their duty being Muslims and
offering their prayers. The harsh cold weather of England is well known across
the globe, and the poor children had to pray in the freezing cold open area
which is very insensitive and cold-hearted.
