The Sudden explosion in Shahdara
An explosion occurred today in Shahdara outside a plastic
factory from a scrap thrown outside. One of the workers got severely injured
and was taken to the hospital. The police later concluded that the explosion
might have been caused by a chemical reaction and they are doing further
investigation on it.
An explosion echoed in an area of Shahdara today. The
explosion took place near Fazal Park outside a plastic factory in a scrap. A
worker, named Sunny Ashraf got severely injured in the incident. The incident
was caught in CCTV footage of a camera nearby which went viral later.
The clip shows that the worker (Sunny Ashraf) ran instantly
to save himself and fell to the ground as the explosion took place and smoke
gathered all over the place.
A witness named Shahid Ahmed told the media that the sound of
the explosion was heard loud and clear and the worker (Sunny Ashraf) was
unfortunate as he happened to be working nearby. And he was taken to the
hospital in an emergency condition for medical assistance.
The DSP of Shahdara, Muhammad Nasir said that in the initial
phase of the investigation, the blast doesn’t seem to be caused by explosive
material but by some chemical reaction or perfume bottles that were also found
in the scrap.
The CTD (Counter-Terrorism Department), as well as the Bomb Disposal Squad, has gathered substances from the spot for further investigation.
However, the area is given a green signal and declared to be safe.
Conclusion:
A sudden explosion outside a
factory in the city area could’ve been way worse but fortunately, this didn’t
happen on this occasion. The people responsible for throwing waste material
should be careful as it can be extremely dangerous. The workers should be
guided and trained that they must be careful and not throw all the waste
material in the same place.
