Good News for Citizens
The citizens of Punjab will now be able to get their driving
license on weekends as well. The Driving License Centers will be open on
Sundays as well till 1pm (afternoon).
For the facilitation of the citizens, the IG Punjab gave the
orders to the Driving License Centers to increase their working hours and so it
is decided that the Centers will be open on Sundays as well till 1pm.
The Driving License Center suggests that people should
get their driving licenses as soon as possible, as the drivers caught without a
license will have to pay heavy fines. CTO Lahore further instructed that the
new timings on weekdays (Monday – Saturday) will be from 8am (Morning) to 6pm
(Evening) and on Sunday will be from 8am till 1pm (Afternoon).
This is indeed a wise decision by the IG Punjab to facilitate
those citizens who didn’t have any time because of their jobs and businesses
and so they faced traffic fines for not having a driving license and the
timings were also not that broad. So, these changes in the timings will be
effective for those people who had lack of time. Now, they will have the option
to get their driving licenses on Sundays as well.
