Pakistan banned traveling to 6 different African countries and Hong Kong after the advent of the new variant of the Corona Virus (Omicron)
After the emergence of the latest variant of the Corona Virus
(Omicron), Pakistan bans traveling to Hong Kong and 6 different countries of
Africa. National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has given notifications on
Twitter.
According to the notifications of the National Command and
Operation Center (NCOC), the banned countries include South Africa, Hong Kong,
Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique, and Eswatini.
The NCOC on their Twitter notification mentioned that after the
emergence of the latest variant of the Corona Virus, these countries have been
placed in the C category. And these countries are prohibited to travel to
Pakistan.
The NCOC further states that the Pakistani nationals traveling
back from these countries will only be allowed under emergency circumstances
and they would also have to provide Corona Vaccination Certificates and corona
tests 72 hours before their boarding. These passengers will also have to
undergo a Rapid test which will be conducted by the Civil Administration.
Corona positive passengers will face 10 days of quarantine. The trapped Pakistani
passengers will get relief from 5th December 2021. The Civil
Aviation Department will make a list of the passengers traveling from these
countries till 29th November 2021.
