Shahbaz Tatla's advocate disappeared from his
Lahore home, prompting his brother Sajjad Ahmed to file an abduction
report. Following the discovery of CCTV footage showing Shahbaz Tatla leaving
his office with SSP Mufakhar Adeel, an investigation was begun against
the latter, but he went into hiding to avoid being arrested.
SSP
went into hiding on February 11 after removing all evidence of Shahbaz
Tatla’s murder, Then they took disciplinary action against them.
Mufakhar Adeel issued a notice of
dismissal. Mufakhar Adeel is now being held in Kot Lakhpat
Jail as a suspect in a murder case. The police nabbed Asad Bhatti, who
admitted to just assisting the SSP in destroying Shahbaz Tatla’s body.
On
March 11, 2020, SSP Mufakhar Adeel reported his own arrest to the police.
Another defendant admitted to providing acid to SSP Mufakhar in order
for the deceased body of lawyer Tatla to be dissolved in a drum.
Conclusion
